Thirteen coaches. One record. Your call.
AI runs through every Moodwell layer, always the same way: one coach you choose, answering from your own logged data, metered by credits, and never saving a change without your review. Integrations follow the same rule: read-only and on your terms.

AI in a wellness app has to earn trust every time
An AI coach that can see your food, training, medications, and journal is powerful, and easy to get wrong. It can sound like a clinician, invent numbers, or quietly change your plan.
The goal was AI that feels personal without being unpredictable: a voice you pick, rules that never change, and nothing saved without you.
The credit model
AI work costs credits; manual tracking never does.
250
Credits a month, monthly or annual plan
25
Credits in the 7-day trial
$5 / $20
Top-ups for 100 or 500 credits
0
Credits for manual tracking
AI & integrations, feature by feature.
13 coach personas
Distinct voices, from warm and unhurried to firm and direct, each with a specialty, all labeled as AI with generated portraits.
One coach everywhere
The coach you choose answers across training, food, and your plan: separate conversations, the same persona.
Credit-metered AI
250 credits a month on any plan, 25 during the 7-day trial, and top-ups when you need them. Cost depends on the action.
Review before save
When a coach proposes a change to your plan, you review it before it's saved.
Health Connect, read-only
On Android, Moodwell reads 10 data types, including weight, steps, sleep, heart rate, HRV, and exercise sessions, and never writes back.
Shotsy import
Bring GLP-1 injections, weights, and symptoms over from a Shotsy CSV export.
Thirteen voices, one set of rules.
Each persona has its own style and specialty. What a coach can see and claim is identical across all of them.

- 01
Personas change the voice, not the rules
What a coach can see, what it's allowed to claim, and the fact that every answer comes from your own logged data are the same for all thirteen. Switching only changes how answers are written.
- 02
History keeps its author
A message keeps the coach who wrote it, so switching coaches never rewrites a conversation you've already had.
- 03
Context on a need-to-know basis
Each AI feature sends only the prompt and context it needs to the AI provider. Not every feature sees every record.
- 04
Read-only, foreground sync
Health Connect access is read-only with no background reads, syncing up to 30 days of history (or 180 with extended access) while the app is open.
- 05
Personal data never funds ads
Journals, conversations, health records, and connected health data are never used for advertising.
AI across the layers
Every AI touchpoint, by layer. Everything not listed here works without AI.

Photo, voice, and description capture, plus meal suggestions.

Never prescribes.

Saved only after your review.
What it won't do.
Software, not people
Coach personas and other AI outputs are generated by software, not people, clinicians, or researchers.
Answers from your data
Coaches answer from your own logged records, and manual tracking never requires an AI request.
More of the build.
Mindfulness
One-minute check-ins, journaling, guided conversations, and 30 short wellbeing tools.

Nutrition
Six capture methods, adaptive calorie targets, and meal planning on the shared weekly plan.
Health
